Dr. Arun Kumar is a dynamic researcher and educator in the field of computer science and smart systems engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela since 2018. With a globally diverse academic background and extensive R&D experience, Dr. Kumar has been at the forefront of cutting-edge innovations in Internet of Things (IoT), wireless networks, and smart city technologies. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as a Research Fellow at the Electrical Machines and Drives Laboratory (EMDL) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), where he led a multi-disciplinary team on smart city and building automation projects funded by Singapore’s National Research Foundation (NRF) and Building Construction Authority (BCA). Prior to that, he served as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and a Research Associate at the Infocomm Centre of Excellence (INFINITUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His wide-ranging international exposure has shaped his approach to solving real-world tech problems across India, Taiwan, and Singapore.With more than 75 high-impact research publications, Dr. Kumar brings both deep theoretical knowledge and practical execution experience in domains critical to digital infrastructure and intelligent systems.
