Dr. Rahul Thakur is a forward-looking academic and technology innovator in the space of Internet of Things (IoT) and embedded systems, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at IIT Roorkee. He is the Founder and Head of the IoT Lab at IIT Roorkee, where he leads cutting-edge research and real-world applications of connected technologies. Beyond academia, Dr. Thakur is also the Co-Founder of Pandabyte Innovations Pvt. Ltd., a hardware-centric startup focused on developing custom microcontroller boards, sensors, and educational IoT kits. These innovations are actively used by students, researchers, and IoT developers to accelerate learning and experimentation in electronics and smart systems. Dr. Thakur blends technical depth with product development insight, allowing him to make meaningful contributions in academia, entrepreneurship, and technology mentorship. His passion lies in making complex technologies like IoT and embedded systems more accessible, scalable, and application-driven.
